E3 2015: Doom’s SnapMap Is like a Bloody, Demonic Lego Set

Bethesda Doom E3The old Doom games had a history of spawning new, innovative games via player-built mods. That’s super cool and all, but with the upcoming Doom, id Software is taking it a step further and letting players create and upload their own maps using a feature called SnapMap.

SnapMap is basically a super user-friendly level creation system that should hypothetically allow any old schmoe to live their Doom-building dreams.

It’s kind of like playing with Lego blocks, but with oh so much blood.

Okay, so it’s probably a lot more like playing around with Halo‘s Forge than with Lego bricks. But the Lego reference makes me titter.
