The One-Sentence Review: The Cave

Tim Schafer. Ron Gilbert. The adventure game match made in heaven is back, as The Cave marks a a return collaboration between the two of the genre’s most well-respected veterans. But this isn’t a traditional point-and-click adventure; this is the genre’s spin, if you will, on a side-scrolling platformer. But a lot has changed in adventure world. Just look at The Walking Dead for an example of that. Traditional “adventure game logic” is being thrown out the window.

So what’s our verdict on the highly anticipated game from Double Fine Productions? Will it cater towards a more “accessible” audience?
