The Witcher 3 Might Get My Butt off the Sidelines

The Witcher 3I’ll be honest. I haven’t played a single second of any game in The Witcher franchise. This does not mean, however, that I’m not a huge fan.

I’ve watched the hilarious moments when the first game’s voice acting didn’t exactly meet expectations. I was there when the facial animations showed less emotion than a rock, and when the combat system irked people to no end.

I was also there when The Witcher 2 took the negatives from the first game and improved upon them. The combat system was completely redone to the appreciative applause of most fans. The graphics were obviously better thanks to new technology, and the same great storytelling endured.

And when the first screenshots of the amazing, next generation Witcher 3 were released, I was there marveling at their beauty. The Witcher 3 is shaping up to be one of the greatest RPGs available. The graphics are stunning, the combat looks like an excitingly smooth combination of magic and swordplay, and the story looks as interesting as ever.

While I have yet to play a game in the franchise, I’m starting to believe that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the one that will finally get me to cave, pick up my sword, and take on the world as the White Wolf.
